From an early age, Haley was fascinated with communities of the past. She spent her childhood scanning for any sign of arrowheads on her family’s ranch and turned this passion into a career in archaeology. Now with over 15 years of experience, she provides archaeological survey, testing, and data recovery fieldwork for city, county, state, and federal entities as well as private clients.
Haley’s expertise includes historical research, historic and prehistoric artifact analysis, and curation of archaeological materials and records. This background proved particularly helpful in getting the $500 million Gilcrease Expressway open on time after an archaeological site was discovered during construction.
Haley has presented at conferences, shares her knowledge with the public, and performs excavations and artifact analysis for nonprofits. She has also authored and co-authored reports for projects involving Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act and the Texas Antiquities Code.
When she isn’t busy in the field, Haley ventures to the stables. Having grown up with horses, she now has two of her own that inspire her to get outdoors and reconnect with nature.
