In the past six years, Greg has transferred experience in municipal government and planning to private consulting with Stantec, specializing in municipal, environmental, and sustainability planning. This work included processing large and small land development applications and complex, strategic-level municipal policy and plan development.
Greg has over 30 years of experience as a senior city administrator and city planner with the City of Waterloo. He’s worked in every conceivable role within the planning and development realm and spent 13 years as general manager of the Development Services Department.
When Greg isn’t spending time at his trailer on the Saugeen River in Bruce County, he’s guiding and mentoring new planning professionals. As a role model in the industry, he advises new professional planners to be broad-based, broad-thinking, generalist planners; care about your work and the communities you’re affecting.
