Alex brings 15 years of engineering experience to his role as a computational designer. He leverages digital tools and workflows to deliver innovative solutions for complex building and civil projects throughout the UK. With specialized skills in parametric design, optimization, and software development, he helps drive digital innovation across our Buildings team.
Passionate about driving innovative solutions for clients, Alex advocates an iterative process which allows them to make informed decisions that result in more sustainable, cost-effective solutions. Notable projects for him include the refurbishment of 100 Liverpool Street in London, an eight-story commercial building that was shortlisted for the Stirling prize award. He also worked on the restoration and redevelopment of the Grade 1 Listed Shrewsbury FlaxMill Maltings. Another project highlight was the restoration and redevelopment of the Farmiloe Building, a Grade II-listed Victorian landmark in the heart of London's Clerkenwell that achieved a BREEAM Excellent rating.
When he isn’t working with computational design, Alex enjoys hitting the trails either on foot, two-wheel pedal power, or offroad motorcycle.
