You’ve likely heard that water and electricity don’t mix—but for Doug, they do, as one of two national electrical practice leaders for water. His goal is to provide clients the right mix of expertise to improve water quality for the communities they serve. Doug takes pride in delivering electrical systems that are safe, reliable, robust, facilitate maintenance, and keep facilities operating 24/7/365. It is what has motivated him for over 35 years as an engineer.
Although his focus is on the electrical aspects of a project, his work extends to almost all the other technical disciplines to make sure his teams provide a complete, coordinated design. His philosophy for success is to instill in his teams the need to understand all the nuances of the project. For Doug, everything ties together with the electrical designs being one of many critical parts in a water project that improve the water we drink and the water we return to the environment.
Where water and electricity don’t mix for him is at Chautauqua Lake in Western New York, where he and his wife, Michelle, have a camp site that is their getaway place.
