Jim serves as the stormwater practice leader for our US Pacific region, while also focusing on stormwater capture and use at the national level. He provides strategic planning, business development, and execution for projects that deliver multiple benefits, with a focus on new water sources through the capture and beneficial use of urban stormwater.
As a result of Jim’s innovative ideas, many of the projects he’s managed have received international accolades. He gives back to the community through leadership roles with the California Stormwater Quality Association (CASQA), WaterReuse Association, and California’s Clean Beach Task Force. He also mentors civil engineering students and serves on the engineering advisory board at his alma mater.
Having studied wilderness survival and windsurfing in his college days, Jim likes to think of himself as a rather well-rounded engineer. When he’s not putting his creativity to use in problem solving or developing presentations and proposals, Jim spends his free time with his wife and three grown children. You might also find him hiking, mountain biking, stand-up paddling, or playing pickleball.
