A town planning director, Nick jointly leads the Reading town planning team. He has decades of experience and wide-ranging involvement in major housing, commercial, leisure, and retail developments on behalf of prominent house builders, developers, and landowners. Part of his role includes giving evidence as an expert planning witness to public inquiries on major housing appeals and at local plan examinations, representations to local plans, and preparation of major planning applications with environmental impact assessments (EIAs).
Nick’s experienced in managing multidisciplinary teams and has a strong track record of delivering timely and measured professional planning advice for clients’ major development projects. His notable projects to date include obtaining planning permission for the University of Reading Thames Valley Science Park and recently securing permission for Shinfield Studios in Berkshire—one of the largest purpose-built film and TV studios in the United Kingdom with 18 stages and a range of workshops and production offices.
Outside of work, Nick is a Level 2 qualified Football Association (FA) coach and manages a youth football team. He also enjoys traveling to different countries around the world with his family.
