The idea of contributing to science while exploring the wilderness led Scott to his chosen career as a botanist. He’s led large-scale, remote area flora and vegetation surveys across a diverse range of biogeographic regions in Western Australia.
Scott has proficiency in leading field surveying efforts, and his responsibilities include team leadership and mentoring junior staff. His teams have successfully secured and planned technical surveys, environmental assessments, and monitoring programs. Taking a thorough approach to project scopes, he enjoys fostering collaborative relationships with clients, project participants, and traditional owners.
Away from his work as a senior environmental scientist, Scott loves camping, gaming, baking sourdough bread, and spending time with his sausage dog.
