A geotechnical engineer, John has more than a decade of professional experience with geotechnical, rock engineering, and mining projects. He’s passionate about bringing technology and innovation into the practice to help better visualize and understand data collection and analysis. As a rock engineering excellence and innovation lead, he collaborates with our national technical discipline leader, other specialists, and multidisciplinary partners.
John’s expertise includes rock mechanics, rock fall assessment, geotechnical analysis and design, and rock mass characterization. It also includes his work with rock slope remediation, rock support design and installation, and geotechnical monitoring. Involved in both the planning and execution of field work, project management, engineering analysis, and reporting, he’s participated in numerous geotechnical studies in the industrial, transportation, commercial, and residential sectors.
Away from his geotechnical engineering work, John enjoys taking his kids mountain biking in the summer and playing squash in the winter.
