A trained architect and urban planner on both our Urban Places and Smart Mobility teams, Margaret has more than 30 years of experience designing public realm projects and leading multidisciplinary projects. Operating at the intersection of urban planning, mobility, and design, Margaret works with both private and public sector clients to maximize their design and operations potential, transforming concepts into real world solutions.
Her public realm projects are strategic and economical, but they also prioritize people to better integrate planning and transportation into the fabric and context of cities. Under Mayor Bloomberg and Commissioner Sadik-Khan, Margaret served as chief of staff at the New York City Department of Transportation where she directed major agency projects including the capital construction plan for Times Square.
A certified LEED AP BD+C professional, Margaret is a fellow of the American Institute of Architects and was named to Architect Magazine’s “A Who’s Who of Smart Cities” in 2019. When not exploring cities, Margaret—an avid sailor—enjoys sailing in the waters of Eastern Long island and taking her corgis for beach walks.
