Marcus has worn many hats in his career, all with a core focus on environmental stewardship. Complete building commissioning, energy modeling, controls, and energy and carbon optimization are where his expertise, passion, or obsession—as it seems at times—lies.
Marcus has learned to take a holistic approach within the perfectly imperfect world of buildings, building performance, and engineered qualitative assessments. He believes the culture of a company is vital—when focus is on teamwork and creating a collaborative environment, great things are possible. He believes in continuous learning, being motivational and genuine, staying focused, making lasting relationships, and having fun while you’re doing it.
Extending his passion for environmental stewardship into his personal life by volunteering, teaching, and mentoring students at all levels, Mr. Myers is an adjunct faculty member at Arizona State University (ASU). He has lectured and served in many sustainable research-driven roles at ASU, but currently teaches building commissioning in the School of Construction.
