Though Kara’s most recent projects have been in the green energy field of renewables, like wind and solar—they too require her expertise as a wildlife biologist in environmental monitoring and inspection, wildlife assessments, invasive species management, and permitting support at local, state, and federal levels.
With years of professional experience in natural resource management, wildlife research and monitoring, her work emphasizes regulating and managing natural resources and wildlife, protecting threatened and endangered species, and assessing environmental impacts. While her background as a wildlife biologist has centered around birds, she has also studied and worked with various small mammals, and several species of sea turtles.
It won’t be surprising that outside of work Kara enjoys spending time in the outdoors. Some of her favorite outdoor pastimes include hiking, cycling, skiing, or walking with her two dogs.
