As a child growing up in Peru, Mario adored his father who drove a van transporting engineers to job sites. He remembers visiting the construction of a water transfer tunnel high above the city of Tacna with his father. Inspired by what he saw and wanting to make his mark on the world, Mario eventually became an engineer.
Now, Mario is an experienced civil engineer most known for management of complex construction and engineering projects, supervision and construction of tailings dams, water dams, and mining infrastructure, and audit of management of project and quality systems. Currently working in our Peru office, he is a project management commercial leader providing coaching and mentoring to his team. A project that changed his life was being part of the engineering development, construction supervision, and delivery into operation of the Vizcachas dam and Titire intake at the Quellaveco mine.
When he’s not listening to learn what clients need, Mario finds great personal fulfillment through spending time with his wife, his daughter, and his dog. He enjoys cooking and sharing the meals with his family.
