With over 25 years of diverse geological experience, Ivan has worked in the energy, mining, and natural resources sectors. His career highlights include oil sands, coal, and aggregate geological modeling.
Ivan specializes in the creation of computer models for complex coal deposits, coal models incorporating acid rock drainage (ARD) data, and Lerchs-Grossman pit designs. He’s also authored numerous technical reports prepared in accordance with the requirements of National Instrument 43-101.
Related to oil sands modeling experience, Ivan has developed and audited geological models for lease holders. Creating oil sands models involves bitumen estimation, oil sand characterization, and geohazard considerations, as well as using statistical approaches to estimate overall geological variability.
