Astrid has always been drawn to design, spending her childhood in Peru sketching and dreaming up spaces. Growing up in Lima, she couldn’t ignore the challenges of informal settlements, which led her to question how to design safer, more thoughtful spaces. Her passion for sustainable and inclusive design has only grown stronger as an urban designer and planner.
Working across disciplines, Astrid combines her knowledge in urban mobility and street design. She focuses on land use, mobility, and equitable urban development projects. These projects range from municipal master plans to corridor studies to transit-oriented development plans.
For Astrid, her work is about shaping spaces where people truly belong. She empowers communities to envision their future through clear and compelling visual narratives. She not only captures the essence of proposed urban improvements, but also fosters meaningful dialogue among community members and constituents. Her fluency in both Spanish and English further enhances her ability to connect with diverse communities.
When she isn’t designing more equitable urban spaces, Astrid enjoys hiking, painting, and exploring New York.
