Andrey has over a decade of experience in the field of toxicology and earned his PhD in biology with specialization in chemical and environmental toxicology in 2014 from the University of Ottawa. His nanotoxicology experience spans multiple projects with mammalian, aquatic vertebrate, and invertebrate models to evaluate toxicity of various nanoparticles through university and governmental agency collaborations.
In his position, Andrey is focused on the safety, toxicology, and potential risks of chemicals to humans, as well as ecological risk assessment for projects across multiple sectors. This includes chemicals on the Proposition 65 list, microplastics, and electronic nicotine delivery systems. He has published over 35 articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals and has also reviewed over 70 manuscripts for 30 different peer-reviewed journals.
Away from his desk, Andrey enjoys playing roller hockey, going for a walk on the beach, and exploring new destinations.
