Lynne investigates associations between environmental exposures—such as from commercial products or industrial processes—and health outcomes as well as evaluates and communicates health risks in relation to these exposures. Her areas of expertise are epidemiology, air quality, spatial analysis, study design, and data management and analysis.
In a project for the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank (GPCFB), Lynne led the spatial analysis of their 11-county service area, designing and conducting an assessment that combined internal and publicly available data to identify gaps in food service access. With this information, GPCFB is working to engage their stakeholders, adjust their strategies, and improve access to food for people in need.
When she isn’t contributing to solutions towards health equity, you’ll probably find Lynne exploring restaurants, concert venues, and museums—or appreciating architecture—at home in Pittsburgh or in any city she can get to.
