With decades of experience in protection and control (P&C) engineering design for public utilities in the United States and overseas, Daniel looks at P&C engineering and design as an art. He takes his role to heart, always designing to protect the power grid against abnormal power system conditions while at the same time initiating certain corrective actions—P&C involves protecting large and expensive power equipment.
Daniel has worked on greenfield substation projects (building a substation over a piece of land that has never been developed) as well as modernization projects for existing substations and generation plants. Additionally, he has experience mentoring and managing a group of engineers and designers.
When not at work, Daniel enjoys teaching and preaching the Gospel, playing soccer, and going to the beach. Walking barefooted in the sand at the beach is something he looks forward to every summer.
