Shawn, an architect and designer with more than two decades of experience, specializes in laboratory planning and design for educational, corporate, light industrial, and governmental institutions. During the design process, he collaborates with the client to establish project goals and collect facts to develop the project program and conceptual design.
Applying his studies in space metric trends and the integration of engineering systems, Shawn is assisting Southbase Construction in developing laboratory service prefabrication concepts for the Lincoln Universities HUB project in Canterbury, New Zealand. Using these concepts, Southbase Construction has been able to reduce the project’s construction schedule while maintaining a high level of quality and safety.
Shawn has also worked on clinical labs, bio-pharma QC labs, and sustainable design. Outside of work, he sits on the board of directors for Leadership Butler. As part of the board, he helps introduce emerging leaders to the issues, resources, and opportunities that exist in Butler County.
