Dave finds opportunity in every challenge. As a principal in Edmonton’s water group, he sees opportunities—even in the most difficult projects—to create solutions that have a lasting effect on the communities where we live.
One of the most rewarding projects he has led was the Lendrum Place dry pond in Edmonton. He took a devastating situation in which 15% of the homes were damaged by flooding and turned it into a positive one. Working with various stakeholders, he came up with a design that protects, and also improved, the community.
Dave is well known in the water community for his more than 40 years of experience and his expertise in tunneling and trenchless technology. He is a past director for the Canada Pacific region of the North American Society of Trenchless Technology and the recipient of the 2015 NASTT Chair Award for Lifetime Service. When Dave isn’t driving his 1990 Miata or playing hockey, he’s working with his team to apply intelligent infrastructure designs for clients.
