As a tunnel engineer, Tao mostly focuses on projects that involve geo-structural design for underground works. These include tunnels, deep shafts, and underground caverns for water and wastewater, transportation, and hydropower efforts.
Tao brings a solid background in both geotechnical and structural engineering to his role as principal tunnel and trenchless engineer with our Water group. He also combines his extensive real-world experience with a strong knowledge of advanced analytical tools.
When he isn’t busy with tunneling projects, Tao enjoys playing soccer with a group of his longtime friends, sometimes joined by his son.
