Vik brings over 23 years of professional engineering and project management experience as a civil engineer to our Dams team in our Energy group. Throughout his career, he’s focused on dam and spillway rehabilitation projects, developing a range of engineering skills in geotechnical, civil, structural, and construction engineering and planning.
Vik has worked on a variety of award-winning projects, including the Panama Canal Third Set of Locks Project, where he led a team in performing the thermal analyses of the mass concrete placements for the 100-foot (30-metre) high lock wall structures. He was also the project manager for the award-winning L.L. Anderson Dam Spillway Modification and Santa Anita Dam Spillway Modification projects in California.
As an active member of the United States Society on Dams (USSD), Vik focuses on the identification and collection of information related to the rehabilitation and repair of concrete dams and spillways. He’s also published over 20 papers on dam rehabilitation, raising, structural and thermal analysis, removal, and liquefaction—all to enhance the industry’s knowledge of trends and best practices.
