Sussette is a detail-oriented engineer with experience as both a project manager and project engineer for various consent decree projects in Miami-Dade County. Her focus is on upgrading wastewater treatment plants and pump stations.
A great example of Sussette’s work is the effluent pump station project at the Miami-Dade Central District Wastewater Treatment Plant—there, she worked as project engineer facilitating the design process for electrical upgrades and sea level rise hardening efforts for essential equipment. Sussette has extensive knowledge and experience in the areas of water resources, environmental regulation, LEED processes, and sustainability. She’s presented at the Florida Water Resource Conference, Southwest Florida Water & Wastewater Conference, and AWWA Water Infrastructure Conference on the topic of resiliency—specifically on sea level rise adaption strategies that protect critical utility assets.
Outside of work, Sussette enjoys reading books and spending time with her family.
