With engineering and commissioning in his DNA, Tim loves the challenge and excitement of problem solving within the building sciences. Over the years, he’s demonstrated that the more difficult the puzzle the better. His specialty in mechanical engineering, commissioning, and energy modeling provides the community with resilient and carbon reduction focused solutions.
One recent puzzle—upgrading the equipment in the photography and technology vaults at the George Eastman Museum—required 3-D modeling, continuous refinement, and feedback from both stakeholders and manufacturers to find a viable solution. Tim led the team in designing systems to help preserve irreplaceable photography equipment and photographs, some from 1830’s, by controlling the humidity and temperature in underground, narrow, barely-accessible vaults.
When Tim isn’t solving problems, he relaxes outdoors. Interestingly, he loved Turning Point Park even before he knew it was a Stantec award-winning project!
