With nearly 20 years of experience delivering capital schemes in the coastal, river management, and water sectors, John has developed a strong technical background in flood risk management. He’s well-versed in project delivery for complex hard-engineered flood and coastal defense schemes, coastal realignment, habitat creation, and nature-based solutions to manage flood risk.
As a director of coastal management for the United Kingdom and Ireland, John combines his expertise in project and program governance, business case development, and risk management with his commitment to innovation and environmental excellence. His project work has been recognized with several awards. Additionally, he sits on the steering committee for the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management’s Rivers and Coastal Group.
When he isn’t overseeing coastal management efforts, John is a keen musician and active in a number of bands and musical projects.
