Especially attuned to the Sierra Nevada region he calls home, Chris finds inspiration in the rivers and lakes of the western US. As an aquatic biologist, he has experience in watershed management, restoration, mitigation, fisheries, limnology, ecohydrology, wildlife habitat evaluation, environmental monitoring, and statistical analysis. He strives to understand the complex demands on watersheds and find solutions to environmental conflicts.
Chris has been a lead scientist on major restoration projects across the western US and key environmental review documents. He has experience with dams and hydropower infrastructure including relicensing, license compliance, and dam removal. As a leader in our freshwater ecosystems practice, he oversees teams delivering technical work in the field.
When he’s not surveying rivers, counting fish, or analyzing data, Chris is probably with his two daughters at a scout outing or coaching youth skiing on the local slopes. He’s a volunteer diver for Clean Up the Lake and serves on the projects committee for Ecologists Without Borders.
