Working with our team in Jackson, Mississippi, Whit is a hydraulics engineer. He has over 15 years of experience that includes bridge and roadway hydraulics, hydrology, and FEMA’s Digital Flood Insurance Rate Maps and Risk MAP Program. Whit also has experience in both 1-D and 2-D hydraulic modeling.
In his position, Whit is responsible for developing hydraulic and hydrologic studies, letters of map revisions, and MDOT hydraulic reports for bridge replacements. Prior to joining Stantec, he served as the Director of Public Works for the City of Madison, MS, for two years. This role involved leading the design, construction, and maintenance of city streets, water supply system, and storm and sanitary sewers. Whit administered a department of over 60 people with an annual budget of more than $6 million.
While not working, Whit enjoys Mississippi State sports and spending time with his wife and two daughters.
