With decades of experience in civic, educational, cultural, industrial, and commercial projects, Doug is an award-winning architect. Working through all phases of pre-design, design, and construction administration, he’s been involved with several high-profile projects throughout the northeast and mid-Atlantic regions.
Doug believes that the most sustainable building is one that is well-sited, beautiful but banal, flexible, and lasting. A project designer and manager, he has expertise in validating the constructability and compliance of complex and innovative designs. Doug enjoys working with historic landmarks to help preserve their integrity while also breathing new life into them—he integrates building interior, exterior, and sitework designs for wholistic and efficient project view.
In his free time, Doug is a writer, a soccer referee, a certified citizen tree pruner, and is currently restoring a 19th century townhouse in Brooklyn with his wife.
