For 20 years, Jon has taken on the challenges of designing roadways, rehabbing trails, upgrading traffic signals, and completing traffic and safety studies, many in his own backyard. Being an end user, Jon has the satisfaction of knowing that his projects bring immediate gains to the community.
The Erie Canalway Trail and Inner Loop East exemplify Jon’s commitment to improving mobility for the community. The beautiful eight-mile Canalway trail is one of the heaviest traveled pedestrian/bike corridors in the Rochester area, and the recent upgrade included trail width restrictions and improved drop-off protection, making the trail safe for all ages.
The Inner Loop Transformation project is enhancing pedestrian and bicycle mobility, improving aesthetics, and providing a revitalized corridor.
Working with clients like the City of Rochester, Monroe County, NYSDOT, and NYSTA has given Jon insight into each agency, allowing him to balance agency and user needs for successful outcomes.
