Stef is a civil engineer and urban resilience planner. She has broad experience in many facets of the water industry, especially helping clients address wet weather challenges. From risk and vulnerability assessments to design and construction to municipal policymaking, Stef is passionate about helping urban communities in their journey toward climate resilience.
During her previous employment with the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission, Stef led efforts to renew capital planning goals, re-prioritize a multi-billion-dollar infrastructure program, and coordinate a suite of interdepartmental policies and programs, all related to flood resilience.
Stef especially appreciates the intersection of engineering and public policy, and she recently served as project manager to develop a snapshot of climate resilience progress in the Greater Boston region. This project, sponsored by the Barr Foundation, included the development of a comprehensive rubric to measure resilience used to assess 31 municipalities to identify specific opportunities to meet the greatest areas of need.
When she isn’t helping clients with risk and resilience, you’ll probably find Stef with her husband and three children enjoying the outdoors in every season.
