Sarah has 20 years’ experience in landscape architecture and context sensitive design, resilient, native landscapes, green stormwater infrastructure, and project management. Her experience also includes four years in the construction industry specializing in construction of trails, boardwalks, and ecological restoration, that contributes to her development of creative and pragmatic design solutions.
With an approach to landscape architecture that embodies resiliency and integrated, nature-based design solutions that focus on finding commonalities between diverse perspectives, Sarah strives to benefit communities and the environment in all her work. Most recently, she developed an integrated natural resource, water quality improvement, and residential development master plan for 300-acres in Hennepin County, Minnesota. She also incorporated green infrastructure bioretention—rain gardens—and pollinator lawns along 37th Avenue’s roadway reconstruction between Columbia Heights and Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Outside of work, when she’s not organizing parties, Sarah loves adventuring in northern Minnesota, hiking, snapping photos of plants and telling anyone within earshot about their characteristics and benefits.
