In his 35 years as a landscape architect, Jeff has done much of his work in the five boroughs of New York. His other projects have taken him up and down the East Coast and elsewhere throughout the US and Canada. Besides doing the typical landscape architecture projects, Jeff has also spent decades designing the architectural treatment of bridges and other structures. With this diverse skillset, he works on multidisciplinary teams to develop contextually relevant structures that will be community assets for decades.
One special project was the Hudson River Walk in Manhattan. Before the project, path users had a dangerous trek with a highway guide rail on one side and the Hudson River’s bulkhead on the other. After years to gain approvals, his team developed what was effectively a six-block-long dock to connect the final missing link that keeps pedestrians and cyclists safe.
In an earlier life, Jeff was an internationally famous rock star with a #1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 charts around the world. He’s a member of the bands Looking Glass and Starz, and has toured with bands including Kiss, Aerosmith, ZZ Top, and others—and he still plays the drums today.
