Growing up travelling throughout North America, Kathryn gained a deep appreciation of Canada’s natural environments and landscape typologies—it was this exploration that drew her to the profession of landscape architecture.
Kathryn’s goal is to create outdoor environments and community spaces that balance user needs with the natural and environmental context of the site. She works collaboratively with our clients and team on a variety of projects, and her recent work has focused on creating community parks and restoring landscape areas impacted by natural forces. Kathryn’s design process draws inspiration from the natural, cultural and the historical context of the site. She aims to establish great community spaces and increased biodiversity through her habitat restoration, local parks, streetscapes and landscape rehabilitation designs.
Outside of work, Kathryn loves to craft—she knows her way around a hot glue gun and can often be found dreaming about her next knitting or crocheting projects. In the summer, it’s likely you will find her in her garden, willing her plants to grow.
