Over his nearly 25 years in the industry, Felipe has worked on a diverse array of projects but focuses on the design and construction of dams and hydraulic structures. His experience ranges from planning, evaluation, and design to engineering and construction oversight. He’s held key roles in the completion of complex, long-term water supply plans for water utilities and mining companies throughout the world.
Felipe has also been instrumental in leading multidisciplinary teams for dam designs at commercial and municipal sites in the United States and across Central and South America. Currently serving as the resident design engineer on the Gross Reservoir Expansion Project in Colorado, he is proud to be working on a project that is critical to his community’s water needs. The project leverages his expertise for the design and construction of what will be the largest raising of a concrete dam using roller-compacted concrete (RCC) in the world.
When he isn’t busy with his latest dam or hydraulic project, Felipe enjoys spending time with his family and playing his electric guitar.
