Matthew has more than two decades of specialized transportation experience. His interest in multimodal transportation was sparked by his own experiences growing up in New Jersey—taking public transit there he became aware of the inequities in accessible transportation between counties. As a result, he focuses on equity in all he does to facilitate public transportation and mobility options that are safe, efficient, and accessible to all.
An experienced engineer and a veteran of municipal leadership roles in Toronto and Waterloo, Matthew supports growth initiatives as Smart(ER) mobility practice lead in Canada. He leverages his experience to bring planning, operations, and design solutions that support improved infrastructure and multimodal transportation.
Active as a member of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE), Matthew is also the founder of the SimCap (Simulation and Capacity Analysis) User Group under ITE International. And when his isn’t working on equitable transportation solutions, Matthew likes to travel and spend time with friends and family.
