Fidaa brings nearly three decades of experience in in stormwater analysis, design, and field inspection of construction activities across Alberta. In addition to monitoring construction, he conducts project scheduling, prepares tender and contract documents, as well as cost estimating and budget control for land development projects. He also conducts technical peer reviews of stormwater management studies, pond design, and detailed design drawings.
Specializing in urban stormwater management, Fidaa has conducted studies and project-related designs of stormwater detention ponds, stormwater BMPs, inlet and outlet structures, and storm sewers including storm trunks. As a design engineer and stormwater technical leader, he assisted in the design of residential subdivisions within the City of Calgary. His work included the design of sanitary sewer, storm sewer detailed road grade, ground attenuation and noise analysis, overland drainage, and earth volume issues.
Taking his passion for stormwater engineering into his spare moments, Fidaa likes to visit storm pond facilities that he designed or was involved with. He also enjoys playing and coaching soccer.
