Claudio’s background is largely in engineering and operations management for underground mining. He’s worked to implement and manage capital projects, including those involving shaft sinking, mine development, underground construction, and surface infrastructure.
Recently, Claudio managed the Grasberg Block Cave Service Shaft detail engineering project. The work involved the design, engineering, procurement, and construction support of a conveyance system capable of supporting loads of up to 38 metric tons and transporting up to 300 people in a single trip throughout various levels of the mine. The winze shaft is 8.5m in diameter and 355m in depth—making it the first of its kind in Indonesia.
For Claudio, experiencing mining operations firsthand is an invaluable opportunity. Those lessons provide unique insights that will help you understand the challenges faced by stakeholders.
When he’s not at work, Claudio enjoys watching sports and playing golf or softball. However, his greatest source of enjoyment is time spent with his son.
