With a passion for sustainability, David works on a variety of environmental service and remediation projects. These include site characterization, technology evaluation, and remedial system design projects using innovative technologies including in situ chemical oxidation and reduction, enhanced in situ bioremediation, and natural source zone depletion. His experience also includes phytoremediation and in situ stabilization of metals for groundwater treatment at coal combustion residuals (CCR) projects.
David has overseen the transition from active recovery systems to installation of passive permeable reactive barriers and phytoremediation systems to minimize contaminant transport and provide hydraulic control to protect sensitive receptors. He has used the Sustainable Remediation Forum Sitewise tool to evaluate the environmental footprint of various technologies and make recommendations for greener and more sustainable remedial approaches. David also has experience implementing enhanced bioremediation technologies and using advanced characterization tools to demonstrate the effectiveness of natural processes as functional alternatives to more energy and resource intensive remedial technologies.
In his spare time, David enjoys surfing, hiking and camping with his family, and coaching his children’s soccer teams.
