Growing up in the Caribbean, Dave can remember when indoor plumbing was still uncommon in his Bahamian hometown, and he’s not that old! As a result, it comes as no surprise that he’s spent the past twenty years designing high quality water and wastewater facilities for communities across South Florida and the islands of the Caribbean.
Today, Dave is a principal engineer working on public infrastructure projects. He focuses on coordinating and designing water and wastewater utilities for major projects, urban arterials, and limited access facilities. Dave’s water projects aren’t only providing one of life’s necessities—his team is doing the preliminary infrastructure work that will allow for St. Vincent’s port to expand bringing greater economic opportunity to another island community.
Dave is a leader who serves the next generation of engineers in the Miami area as well with his tenure supporting the Florida Engineering Society’s Future City Competition and South Florida’s MathCounts. When he can (and there’s not an important football game to watch), Dave and his family like to take their bikes out to explore.
