Ahsan is a results-oriented professional engineer. He has more than two decades of experience in providing final design, independent review and oversight, owner’s representation, and design quality assurance on complex bridge projects. He’s adept at driving innovation and fostering cross-disciplinary collaboration to deliver solutions and support sound decision-making.
Over his career, Ahsan has focused on risk-based asset management strategy for critical transportation infrastructures, especially inspection evaluation and maintenance of complex bridges. He has a long history of work in the public sector, having most recently served as the chief engineer and traffic authority where he oversaw the long-term health and maintenance of the two Halifax Harbour bridges. He’s also traveled the globe to speak about modern techniques of complex bridge design, inspection, evaluation, rehabilitation, and maintenance works.
When he isn’t fueling his passion for bridges, Ahsan loves to sing and play guitar. He enjoys playing badminton and cricket on weekends and is passionate about serving in his community.
