With more than 20 years of experience, Melissa has worked on a range of water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Her focus is currently on wet weather-related projects to reduce or eliminate sewer overflows that impact the water quality of natural waterways. Melissa’s advocacy of sustainable infrastructure further informs her work to positively impact the communities supported by her projects.
While Melissa’s assignments are wide-ranging and complex, her goal remains the same—to fulfill the needs of client and community. She recently developed an operation and maintenance policy for a client’s pipeline penetrations of a local levee system. This had to be done on a tight timeline using non-invasive and non-destructive technology for the local community to maintain its flood protection system accreditation. Thanks to Melissa’s expertise and application of innovative water pipeline assessment technologies, the community’s accreditation was preserved.
In her spare time, Melissa enjoys travelling with her husband. She’s been known to skateboard with her son or bicycle with her daughter, and enjoys going for jogs with her dog or doing pilates.
