As an interior designer, Chesenia has provided clients with planning, programming, research, and design services for various higher education and healthcare projects. With a passion for strategic planning, she encourages a collaborative environment amongst all parties involved. Chesenia enjoys finding solutions and designing both calculated and functionally beautiful plans that take into consideration the shifting needs of an environment.
With a large web of support from her colleagues, Chesenia has much experience working alongside multi-office project teams across North America. An example of this collaborative approach is the Mackenzie Vaughan Hospital in Vaughan, Ontario. This 1.2 million square foot, 353-bed hospital will be the first smart hospital in Canada—it was founded on the idea of connecting people with nature and delivering patient focused-care.
Chesenia is currently serving as the VP of Advocacy for the International Interior Design Association’s (IIDA) Pennsylvania/New Jersey/Delaware Chapter. Outside of this role, she can be found keeping active through exploration, running, and rock climbing, balanced with some mindful relaxation.
