Paul has worked in the natural resources field since 1983 and—before joining Stantec—worked at several public agencies in the Upper Midwest, including the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources. At Stantec, Paul inventories, monitors, manages, and restores a variety of natural areas across the region. He also provides education and training on a variety of natural resource-related topics.
Involved in local and regional environmental review and natural resource planning, Paul works to benefit communities, businesses, and the environment. He develops site-specific natural resource management and restoration plans, such as the Roseville Parks Natural Areas Planning and Restoration and the Lebanon Hills Regional Park Natural Resources Management Plan in Eagan, Minnesota.
Paul has also led design/build restoration and mitigation projects throughout the Upper Midwest. He has performed numerous rare plant searches and documented more than 300 previously unrecorded rare plant records throughout the region, including state and county records in Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, and Illinois.
