With more than 30 years of experience in the environmental field, Paola has worked on a range of biodiversity and sustainability issues. She focuses on identifying real-world sustainability solutions and integrating science with planning. She consults domestically and internationally on environmental issues including species conservation, sustainability, nature-based solutions, environmental compliance, biodiversity analyses, natural resource valuation, water management, and protected area research.
Paola has published and presented on these topics and has been a reviewer for the journals Conservation Biology and Environmental Management. Additionally, she worked for the Wildlife Conservation Society and was a Peace Corps volunteer in Thailand. Born in Rome, she speaks Italian and English fluently and is conversant in Spanish, Thai, and Lao.
When she isn’t working on environmental efforts, Paola loves adventurous cooking and travel, chilling with her two dogs, and spending time with her husband and two grown kids.
