Working with our Transportation group in Alberta, Derek leads a team of 23 roadway professionals. He specializes in roadway design and contract administration, along with project and account management on municipal improvement, highway rehabilitation, and private development projects. To date, Derek has overseen the placement of over 665,000 tons of asphalt in Central Alberta.
Focused on helping our business grow and thrive, Derek is the Red Deer office leader and champions employee engagement, office health and safety, and community engagement activities. If you ask him, he won’t hesitate to tell you that favorite project to date is the Taylor Drive Improvements. Not only did Derek enjoy the project management experience, but he also loved seeing the impact it had on the downtown core and how it helped improve the community.
Derek loves to travel with his wife and kids, play a variety of sports, and spend time in the outdoors hunting, hiking, and fishing.
