When her family moved to a suburb of Munich, Germany, the experience opened Kristin’s young eyes to new ways for people to live and interact with their environment. Not only was it possible to function without a car, it was often easier to get around by bike, train, or on foot. She carries those early impressions in the work she does as an urban planner.
Kristin enjoys working in a highly collaborative environment with multidisciplinary teams. She coordinates various aspects of projects and leads tasks that focus on geospatial data and analysis, land use, and urban design. Her goal to improve the daily lives of people is closely intertwined with her dedication to be a good steward for the environment. She understands that planning and designing spaces to be compact, human-scaled and walkable, and mixed-use significantly reduce the impact of our carbon footprint.
In her free time, you can find Kristin enjoying time with family, listening to music, traveling, reading, or enjoying the outdoors.
