Hugo is a practice lead with more than 30 years of geotechnical engineering experience. He started his career as a resident engineer on a large highway construction project which led to several years of supervising field exploratory work and managing geotechnical aspects of the design and construction of numerous projects. Hugo’s diverse portfolio includes work on large earthen dams, dikes, levees, highways, shallow and deep foundations, and landslides. A hallmark of his career is repeat business from private, federal and state clients due to a combination of his technical expertise and a commitment to building and maintaining strong personal relationships. That commitment is evident not just to his clients, but through his role overseeing the work of experienced and young engineers alike where he offers guidance in all aspects of the geotechnical profession.
In his spare time, Hugo enjoys traveling, playing golf and handball, and spending time with his family.
