Sina is a geotechnical and tunnel engineer with over a decade of experience. He has participated in design and construction of geotechnical structures such as tunnels, shafts, caverns, slopes and retaining walls in different sectors of mining, energy and infrastructure overseas and in Canada.
With extensive knowledge in geotechnical investigations, tunnel design and construction, numerical modeling, Sina’s technical capabilities include soil and rock structure interaction by numerical modeling, evaluating and designing tunnel support systems (initial and final), ground improvement for soils and rocks, and grouting design. He’s also designed and performed on-site construction management for a variety of tunneling projects throughout North America where he has performed onsite geological mapping using rock mass rating (RMR), Q-System and geological strength index (GSI) classifications.
When Sina is not at work, he enjoys spending time with friends, family, as well as reading, jogging, and traveling.
