Tariq leads the strategic efforts of our global health sector, with a mission of improving health worldwide through the power of design. Beginning his career with Stantec as a mechanical engineer in 2005, he has expanded his project portfolio while working with some of our most complex new and existing facilities. He has demonstrated the ability to design, build, and operationalize high efficiency, patient-centric healthcare spaces. These projects optimize operations, reduce capital and maintenance costs, and leverage cutting-edge healthcare solutions from around the globe.
With a focused effort on integrating health design into the workplace, hospitality, retail, and education markets, Tariq offers valuable insights that support reimagined care models. Recognized for outstanding achievements in the architecture, engineering, and consulting (AEC) industry, he was recently selected as one of Building Design+Construction's Top 40 Under 40.
As member and vice-chair with the Canadian Healthcare Engineering Society (CHES), past Governor and National YEA Chair with the American Society of Heating and Refrigeration Engineers (ASHRAE), Chair of the Stantec Innovation Committee, and mentor for architectural and engineering students and apprentice contractors, Tariq is an active volunteer in the building design and construction industry.
