A strong leader, communicator, and engineer, B.J. draws on more than three decades of experience in architecture, engineering, and construction. His career has centered predominantly on health care design.
B.J.’s experience as the husband of a breast cancer survivor and father of two NICU preemies inspires and motivates him in his work. He’s passionate about enhancing the health care environment for patients and employees through designing innovative engineering systems. Some of his experience in health care building design includes serving as the engineer of record and project manager for a groundbreaking radiology project at a major university’s medical center. This project combined a 3T MRI, a 5T Hyper-Polarizer Unit, and a focused ultrasound—a historic co-location of these three research and treatment modalities into a single unit.
When he isn’t working on buildings engineering, B.J. regularly participates in triathlons and other athletic events, engages in multi-sport training, and enjoys hiking and trail running.
