Many picture the Middle East as an arid environment with little water, but intense rains, climate change and rapid urbanization presents regional governments with a unique challenge.

Stantec’s (formally MWH) regional water resources lead, Babak Bozorgy, describes a range of approaches being taken to tackle the issue.  From major capital investments, to policy that embraces water sensitive urban design the ultimate aim is to safeguard communities from the impacts of urban flooding,  and protect the environment.
